Meet Ishwarya
(Weight loss program)
A new mom, seeking to lose her post-pregnancy weight gain, was working on her diet by cutting carbs, and was surprised to find herself gaining more weight and losing control over her binges. Unable to keep the cravings under control from not eating well only compounded the issue. Her mealtimes were erratic due to the stress and demands of taking care of a newborn round-the-clock. To add to it, her hormones were playing havoc. It was at this time, she realized that formal guidance is needed to tackle this problem effectively.
Iswarya signed up for the 6-month transformation program with the goal to achieve a weight loss that will be sustainable over a long period of time. Soon after starting the program, she started her hormonal supplements. Once the various issues were laid out and the key focus areas were understood, we came up with a customized plan that included habits that she could develop and sustain over the long term, while achieving a steady weight loss.
After 4 months of our team effort which included healthy, balanced meals replete with vegetables, fruits and whole grains, a daily fitness regime (which included strength training, cardio in the form of walking and workouts and HIIT), daily tracking with meal pictures, using the 'Track 2 Transform' tool extensively, the results were on expected lines and Iswarya fell back to her pre-pregnancy weight. Iswarya is a determined woman who displayed perseverance and never-give-up attitude through-out the program. She adapted so well to the changes in the habits and embraced them well to lead into her fitness journey ahead. Meet Lakshmi
(Weight loss program)
A theater artist with two college going daughters came on board seeking to lose weight not able to get it under control with just her daily walks. Lakshmi had led a busy life attending to her children and family and had not taken the time to work on her fitness or health. As a result, a few years ago, she developed Type 2 Diabetes owing to her obesity. Deciding to take action to get things back in control, she started to incorporate daily walks of about 5-8kms. However, she continued to struggle with weight gain as she could not fix her diet and cravings. On one hand, she knew she had to exercise, but soon realized there were other elements she needed to focus on to lose weight.
It was at this time of her realization, Lakshmi came on board our 6-month transformation program in June 2018. Together, we have worked as a team and started her on a simple strength training plan at a nearby gym with a customized meal plan to support her goals. Taking one habit at a time, after 3 months of hard work, it is indeed gratifying to report that Lakshmi has lost a few inches and gained a lot of confidence, energy, and motivation to do the hard work everyday. She is sure to inspire many women in her circle who have already seen steady progress not just in her physique but her positive demeanor as well. She is still marching ahead steadily towards her finish line inch by inch with her chin up and going for the grind one day at a time, one meal at a time. Meet Akshaya
(Weight loss program)
An IT consultant and a classical dancer, has been trying to do a variety of things to get her weight under control with no avail. Given her family history of diabetes and high cholesterol, she wanted to start taking action towards fitness and health sooner than later. Although she had signed up at the local gym and got her cardio in the form of her classical dance practice, the weighing scale did not budge. It dawned on her that there has to be a missing piece in the puzzle.
She came on board our 6-month transformation program in June, seeking to lose weight. After 3 months of a lot of hard work, the results show. Akshaya has lost kilos and dropped dress sizes and gained a lot of confidence, energy, motivation to keep putting in the hard work everyday. Her eating habits have improved a lot and she is able to handle her cravings in a much better way, utilizing the Track2Transform tool. She does the best she can, given her busy schedule and we try to build on her good days. She is sure to inspire many women who worry about gaining weight or bulking up from lifting weights. Meet Kavitha
(Elimination Diet program)
A part-time Chartered Accountant, mom of 2 professional Tennis players and indeed, a fitness enthusiast herself. She had been suffering from GI distress for the last few years with no specific medical reason behind it. Experiencing stomach discomfort after every meal, she could not socialize much or go out to eat with her friends and family and have a good time without worrying about the nagging issue. It was difficult for her to open up and express these issues to someone since she needed an understanding and empathetic ear.
When she met me, she was distraught and needed help. We decided to understand and analyze the issue through a methodical “Cause and Effect” relationship study through an Elimination diet. With diligent tracking of her every meal and the associated symptoms, we eliminated the usual suspects that caused GI trouble and added food groups one by one. By recording data associated with these changes and altering course of action when necessary, we finally nailed the foods that were causing trouble and those which could be had at tolerable levels without the fear of flaring the symptoms again. The entire process took 6-8 weeks. It was very tasking on a psychological level when, at times, most of the food groups had to eliminated before adding them. Kavitha displayed a lot of patience, laying her trust on the entire process, and diligently using the Track 2 Transform tool documenting the data meticulously and sending me pictures of meals on a daily basis.
At the end of the process, her GI issues came down drastically with change in eating habits. She is able to have fun with her friends and she eats now with a lot of mindful awareness, keeping the symptoms under control. She is a much happier individual now and relieved with the outcome.
